How to fit and wear a shoe tagI have two designs of shoe tag - one with two holes (recyclable/disposable) and one with 4 holes (recoverable). Both are designed to be fitted and worn in similar ways, on the top part of your shoe (either foot and with the tag either way up) and they can be horizontal (across your foot) or vertical (from top to lower part of foot). Photos below show the vertical orientation. Two holes - pass the tie under your shoelaces so that the two ends of the tie point upwards. Pass the ends through the two holes in the tag, and twist together (or zip tie if that's supplied) Four holes - pass each tie under your shoelaces so that the two ends of each tie point upwards. Pass the ends through each of the two holes in the tag, and twist together (or zip tie if that's supplied) Sometimes, we might give you a zip tie rather than twist ties. The principles are the same The tags will be supplied in an envelope which will contain the tie(s). If the envelope is fixed to your number with a label, the tag still needs to be fitted to your shoe - it won't work on the back of the race number. If you are in doubt, please see this video on YouTube: How to attach an Ipico shoe tag |
