Haweswater, Penrith, Cumbria (GR NY516182) Excellent scenic route - in the eastern heart of the Lake District - from North take jct 40 off M6 (Penrith), take A66 east to next roundabout then A6 south for half mile. Then turn right following Pooley Bridge and Ullswater, then follow Askham, Helton and Bampton signs. From south, take jct 39 at Shap - go north on A6 through Shap village then fork left following Haweswater and Bampton. Road is narrow and slow! Public transport is available nearby. No dogs allowed on the course or in the school grounds. Cakes, refreshments and toilets available at the school. This fell race is to raise money for the school PTA. Registration from 9am. Sunday 14 March 9.30am	The Trotters 5 Mile Trail Race, Smithills Sports Centre, Smithills Dean Road, Bolton, Greater Manchester, BL1 6JS A 5 mile trail run starting and finishing within the grounds of Smithills Hall, one of the oldest and best preserved manor houses in the North West. Every finisher will receive a finishers t-shirt, kindly sponsored by Golf Trolley Doc. Choose your t-shirt carefully online. Saturday 27 March 12.00 noon	Tour of Hameldon, Peel Park Hotel, Turkey Street, Accrington, Lancashire, BB5 6QT Tour of Hameldon takes in all of the surrounding area of Hameldon including Hameldon Hill, Hameldon Quarry, Weather Radar Station, Hameldon Woods, Moleside and King's Highway.
