| Sunday 5 January 11.00am | Hit the Trail 5 mile (approx), Reddish Working Mens Club, Gregg Street, South Reddish, Stockport, SK5 7LN Race start half a mile away, at Tiviot Way bridge over River Mersey – 100 metres from Portwood Roundabout, M60 Stockport, opposite Tesco Extra Parking at Whitehill Street (SK4 1NT), Woodhall and Tiviot Way car parks- do not park on main road as you may be clamped! Due to a bridge collapse on New Years Day, we have had to take the difficult decision to cancel this race. The safety of runners, marshals and other park users is paramount. The committee has considered other course options. These are not feasible nor interesting for runners, especially given the timeframe. On top of the recent flooding, snow is also forecast for this weekend. There is clearly a continued risk to the safety of the event. Bookitzone will contact all participants in the coming days, who will get the option of deferring to 2026 or a refund.
