Denby Dale Travellers AC - Denby Dale Travellers AC was established in the early 1980s. It all started with a group of friends meeting for a run around the village and then chatting about their exploits over a swift half or two. Gateshead Harriers - Gateshead Harriers were founded in 1904 as Gateshead St. Mary's Church Running Club. Originally for men only, ladies joined in 1951. The club moved to its present site in 1956. We train at least two evenings a week and compete in road races, cross-country, track + field and marathons. Goole Viking Striders - The club was formed in 1984 when a window cleaner, a wine seller and leisure centre assistant got together and decided to start a running club after supporting the Goole Lions 3 Rivers Challenge Walk. We are a club that caters for all abilities and experience and prides itself on its friendliness and we have a strong programme of well supported social events. We have a membership of 50 at present. Steel City Striders - Steel City Striders are the organisers of the Percy Pud 10km Race, South Yorkshire's most popular 10km race. Formed in 1982, the club welcomes runners of all standards from beginners to established runners.
